Why do I need to get a walk in tub?
Walk in Tubs come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They are installed in place of where your normal tub or shower is placed.
If you have a smaller space bathroom then there are also petite walk in tub which are perfect for 48” shower replacements.
A normal bathroom tub takes around 60 inches in length, 30 inches width and 14 to 16 inches height. This is the ideal size for our Standard walk in tub size.
If you have a larger space then there are options for walk in tubs that can accommodate up to 500lbs.
Some people don’t have the option of installing an accessible walk in tub because they don’t own their home or renting from a landlord who won’t allow installation. In this case, our standard step-in bathtub is perfect as it is designed to meet ADA guidelines and does not require any renovations or construction!
Why does this matter?
A high step-in clearance tubs can be difficult and dangerous for those with limited mobility whereas a low step clearance provides ease of entry and exit. Most walk in tub manufactures have a step clearance of 5’ to 8.5′ inches.

There are some tubs that are quite inexpensive, although that might seem cost friendly, they lack vital benefits provided by a walk in tub. It can be tough to predict the cost of a walk in tub without proper consultation. Most prices listed online are for tubs missing key features and should be taken with a grain of salt. What we can say about the price is that big tub manufactures have a lot of overhead costs like sales and marketing which is then passed on to the customer at a higher price. We recommend asking for a transparent competitor cost analysis.
